چکیده
This text is a preliminary version of material used for a course at the University of Copenhagen, part of ”Workshop and Masterclass on Homological stability” August 26-30, 2013. This lecture concerns the method developped, in collaboration with Aurélien Djament, in [DV10] and used in [Dja12] and [DVa] to compute the stable homology of a family of groups with coefficients given by a polynomial functor. We will not give the details of the proofs of the results. Instead we will focus on the general strategy and discuss the examples in details.

متن کاملExtension between functors from groups
Motivated in part by the study of the stable homology of automorphism groups of free groups, we consider cohomological calculations in the category F(gr) of functors from finitely generated free groups to abelian groups. In particular, we compute the groups Ext F(gr) (T ◦a, T◦a) where a is the abelianization functor and T is the n-th tensor power functor for abelian groups. These groups are sho...
متن کاملThe Fundamental Isomorphism Conjecture via Non-commutative Motives
Given a group, we construct a fundamental additive functor on its orbit category. We prove that any isomorphism conjecture valid for this fundamental additive functor holds for all additive functors, like K-theory, cyclic homology, topological Hochschild homology, etc. Finally, we reduce this fundamental isomorphism conjecture to K-theoretic ones.

It is well-known that every homology functor on the stable homotopy category is representable, so of the form E∗(X) = π∗(E ∧ X) for some spectrum E. However, Christensen, Keller, and Neeman [CKN01] have exhibited simple triangulated categories, such as the derived category of k[x, y] for sufficiently large fields k, for which not every homology functor is representable. In this paper, we show t...
متن کاملThe Cube and the Burnside Category
In this note we present a combinatorial link invariant that underlies some recent stable homotopy refinements of Khovanov homology of links. The invariant takes the form of a functor between two combinatorial 2-categories, modulo a notion of stable equivalence. We also develop some general properties of such functors.
